it's a......

BOY!!

yes we are having a boy (pictures to come)! of course jeremy is so excited, and i am glad we have a healthy baby in there with all the correct parts in the correct places. we are halfway there...

our dr. appointments are very boring right now, i pee in a cup, they weigh me, we listen to the heartbeat (which is fun of course), and then i get measured.

i am thankfully not sick all the live long day, still really tired especially after work.
until next time,

wake me up when this "trimester" ends...literally

well, it has been a while. oopps. i have been feeling pretty crappy, as of late i am a little better still extremely tired, all i want to do is SLEEP.

here is a quick update-

had my blood drawn...very traumatizing. j couldn't come with me and of course i couldn't go alone so my wonderful friend bria came along. needless to say she was shocked that i actually had tears of fear as i was stabbed with the needle. thankfully the blood taker lady ( i don't know the official term) was very good and understanding.

we went to the cabin for the week, unfortunately my little bambino in my belly did not want to be forgotten and i was sick most if the time, but on the bright side i was sick and had no where i had to go so i was able to stay in bed!

before coming back to flag we took a day and registered for some basics. we went  to buy buy baby in scottsdale and spent SO long in the store looking and SO much crap...really who needs all that stuff!! i think it is still a little early to be registering but jeremy was very excited about so we got a scanner and we scanned! once we got home we also created a registry online at land of nod. once we find out the sex we will add some more gender specific items.

now that you are all caught up, today we had our 2nd doctors appointment. all test results came back normal, my blood type is O+ (figures i would have the universal blood type and have way too high of anxiety about needles to do any good with it..) good news about the O+ is that it is the exact same as jeremy's so no additional shots will be necessary! we also heard the heartbeat...very cool. according to the doc all is sounding well and properly positioned. the risk of miscarriage is down below 5%, also good news! doc gave me a prescription for some chewable prenatal vitamins, hopefully they will be easier on my tummy tum tum!

hurry up second trimester i am sick of feeling sick and want to get to the part where i need weird food in the middle of the night so that jeremy can go get it for me....muahhahahhahaha

much love

its the tiny miracles that count

carnation breakfast essentials, three words that make all the difference. this little cup of milk chocolate happiness is delicious and fixes the morning sickness. well at least it fixes it during the morning, the rest of the day is still an unsolved mystery.

also --
gilmore girls + pregnancy hormones = tear fest
i cry because its funny and i cry because its sad, and no matter how much crying occurs i just keep watching!

thats all for now

all things ginger

well the nausea has set in, and its pretty constant. pleasant i know!
so we set off to find ginger, and ginger we found.
ginger brew, made from real ginger, sugar cane, and sparkling water, sounds promising right? it was DISGUSTING!
then there is the ginger ale from the Caribbean, exotic, fresh, GROSS!
also ginger chews, they are a bit more bearable.
finally the ginger lemon peel water which i have not yet been brave enough to tackle.

i have heard of some ginger pills...will definitely be seeking those out tomorrow.

for now i will stick with ice water and crackers, our sweet pea sized baby seems to like that combo!

i can also currently smell everything, and i mean everything, i am super super sleepy, and when its bed time i get extra cranky. its like all my terrible traits have been magnified 100x over!

boy vs. girl according to jeremy

j: "i am torn between wanting a boy or a girl"
c: confused "why is that?"
j: "well if it is a boy then i can teach him sports, but if it is a girl then i can be the dad that goes to girls camp every year"

yes, yes, that is my car
at least he found a way to get them to clean it up!

jeremy is always making me smile for some reason or another!

the fetus in the belly

yup, we are prego! i hate that term. the pregnancy test i took this morning was positive and rumor has it that not many false positives occur. we have told just family so far as it is still early. called the doctor that i am hoping to have, as long as she is accepting new patients, left a message and will call again tomorrow.

according to our research fetus is currently the size of a poppyseed....

we are both so excited and so blessed, we cannot wait to be parents (j is especially excited to buy a stroller).
