he is becoming more and more interactive and stays awake during the day for longer periods of time

why auntie challis is the best!

in the previous birth story post i failed to tell the story of my "practice" pushing session.

once the practicing began, it had been a very long and emotional day. thankfully the epidural was working and i had found my happy place again. i have been told that i was a little bit scary to be around and by this time i was not so scary so challis, being the hilarious sister she is, decide to ensure that things stayed light.

how does one do this after 9 hours of labor 7 of which were unmedicated?

GLEE of course! but not just any glee song, it was glee's cover of salt n' peppa's 'push it'

it was the greatest thing ever.
my labor and delivery nurse turned to the ob tech and i quote "this is a first!"
it was awesome!

if e is a little extra ghetto, we will know why :)

pals

guppie and e are already the best of buds!

auntie's graduation

we are so proud of auntie chall! she graduated this month from southern utah university, with a bachelors in communication. now she is on to bigger and better european things!

we had a super fun weekend, lots of family and loved ones equals lots of fun, especially with the pascuccis!

us schlesingers rode to vegas with aunt debbie, thankfully easton is a pro at rode trips already and we only had to stop once on the way there. the next morning, well afternoon, we headed to cedar. since we all wanted to take one car (mom, dad, aunt kristine, aunt debbie, and us) and with my dad as the captain we couldnt just take a normal car....

we had to take a 15 pass van,
so we made the best of it and decorated it!

this car was stuffed to the gills! we had an amazing amount of stuff.

as per the usual we were running late, so just outside of st. george, on the I-5 we all took turns, with the exception of the driver, getting dressed in the backseat of the van! like i said, never a dull moment!

friday was commencement for the university

saturday was for her college and when she received her diploma!

saturday afternoon we had a picnic that was quite lovely, then we finished packing chall up and head down the hill! it was a great weekend, with lots of family and loved ones.

we are so proud of auntie challis, we love her so much and cant wait to support her in this next phase of her glamorous, rock star life!

I love you sis!

sweet baby

easton is changing so much. he is smiling more, although i am not totally sure its on purpose but i pretend that it is. i am beginning to recognize what his cries mean, they all still really sound the same, but  there are some slight differences. he is so strong, his little hands grip your finger so tight! he is growing, his little footed newborn pajamas are almost too small.

he is such a blessing and we love him so much. i love to just watch him. i am sad to see that he is growing so fast already, but so excited to see his personality develop and see the little boy he is going to become.

we love you little e!

busy, busy, busy!

we had a very busy weekend! we said goodbye to dad, and got to work!

gamie and gupie came to town for the weekend to work on the house, and work we did. easton's room is painted and the house is now move in ready. gammie and papa worked super hard and got the yard all cleaned up, while gupie worked around the house. there is still work to be done, but at this point it is finishing touches. today easton slept in his crib for the first time ever!

thank you gammie and gupie for all of your hard work! we cant wait to move in, and we miss you already!
